Like, sure, Gaston would be your run-of-the-mill MRA forum guy and basic conservative xenophobe but Frollo has the fanaticism of a true believer and that's when you get the REAL real scary-crazy.

But I'm more interested in a thread on where the Disney Princesses stand, politically:

SLEEPING BEAUTY: She'd be apolitical, the kind who "doesn't really pay attention" to politics. She's kind of in a bubble isolated from the news so large-scale social movements aren't really affecting her directly and thus, none of her concern.

CINDERELLA: Cindy is a raging, rose emoji Bernie Sanders progressive who led the sit-ins for the 99%. Extremely concerned about the growing wealth gap and strengthening labor laws to stamp out worker exploitation.

JASMINE: Jasmine's doesn't really pay attention to politics and just votes that way because that's how her dad votes but then she gets a little bit of freedom and a working-class boyfriend and realizes she's actually a liberal at heart.

MULAN: Mulan would actually appreciate Trump's military spending and strong border control, but could not vote for him after his repeatedly calling it "the China virus" & his raging sexism. Country ALWAYS over party for her.

TIANA: 110% a Democrat leading the charge for BLM activism and probably helping Stacey Abrams get out the vote in Georgia. She's definitely going to run for New Orleans City Council next year.

BELLE: Belle is 110% be your generic liberal white woman, the one who means well but understands things only academically instead of realistically. And occasionally shows her entire ass when she tweets something "woke" that shows she doesn't actually GET it.

Belle guest entry from @amandarin: Belle would definitely be hosting a podcast talking about books that white people should read to unpack their own racism, but she only votes top of the ticket and forgot to send in her ballot this year.

ELSA: Elsa understands how important foreign relations are and has been extremely concerned by Trump's isolationist policies and the damage they've done with our allies. Also a big, big fan of Jacinda Ardern.

ANNA: Anna is a do-gooder at heart but was always more concerned with boys and romance than politics. But her first trip outside her bubble showed her the real world and now she's a public speaker with a focus on conflict resolution. Does NOT like Trump's love of conflict.

KRISTOFF (he is an honorary Disney princess): Kristoff was kind of clueless and meant well but had some dumb bro-guy tendencies. But Anna set him straight & now he embraces intersectional feminism and understands how systemic racism feeds into our ongoing economic imbalance.

RAPUNZEL: I hate to say it, but Rapunzel is Q. Not because she's a bad person, but because she was insanely sheltered & had zero ability to discern between fact & bullshit, reliable sources & whackjob fringe sites online. With her naivete, she got sucked into Q Anon immediately.

MERIDA: Merida is a single-issue voter and that issue is the environment. She's become well-known climate change activist and environmentalist and thinks Greta Thunberg is great. Did a stint with Sea Shepherd but can't f*ck with PETA as she thinks they do more harm than good.

CHARLOTTE LA BOUFF (princess-adjacent via @baddestmamajama): She would absolutely trot Tiana out as her "Black friend who doesn't make it all about race" but is outraged whenever you point out she has white privilege. Definitely Team #AllLivesMatter.

VANELLOPE: Resurrects Anonymous but this time actually tries to DO something with it. Spent a lot of time on the dark web and almost got brainwashed but pulled out of it and now realizes she can use her hacking skills to take down corrupt politicians and shady corporations.

SNOW WHITE: Snow White is a "conservative feminist."She launched a campaign about being comfortable in your own skin & not letting your physical beauty define you. On the other hand, she still thinks men should do the leading and saving & believes in traditional gender roles.

POCOHONTAS: She's the cofounder of the environmentalist nonprofit with Merida. Hates Trump for letting Covid rage through Native American reservations unchecked. Protested at Standing Rock for a month straight while Merida ran the business.

ARIEL: Ariel says she's "fiscally conservative but socially liberal" but always votes Republican down the ticket as she's a huge capitalist consumer. Has bought into the lie that Republicans are better with the economy. Does a lot of shopping via QVC. This causes problems with...
