my dad asking me ‘well, what would you have changed about the finale’ completely unprompted, which led me to go on a 30 min rant in the car about everything i would have changed for the last few episodes leading up to the finale.

asked for his opinion about it and he just said ‘well i clearly didn’t put as much thought into it as you have...’ lol

my fix it fic would have been while jack was dead in early s15, he reconciled with lucifer and came to terms with the fact that chuck sucks. they realize that they could potentially wake up raphael and gabriel to help lock chuck up like they did with the darkness eons ago.

all they would need is michaels help, who is still loyal to his father. he may not agree with all of chuck, but he’s still his soldier. meanwhile sam, dean, and cass are all trying to come up with their own ways to defeat god. sam n rowena look for a way to use the forces of hell

sam still has his reputation of being the last person to screw with demons, and he and rowena kinda enlist demons and other magical forces from hell to help try and stop chucks growing power. chuck MADE hell after all, there must be a crack in the foundation somewhere.

dean and cass meanwhile look above for help, when they seek the help of the last handful of angels, eventually leading to the last living archangel— michael, and of course adam. they’re not particularly happy to see each other.

mEANWHILE jack with his 3 angel uncles in the empty get help from billie to escape, and of course shes skeptical of the plan. she doesn’t think jack would be strong enough to help lock chuck up. which leads her to help jack become stronger than etc the ‘big black hole’ thing

chuck is still off destroying worlds, he’s throwing his cosmic tantrum. sam has come back from hell and dean and cass have come back from heaven to recollect. they talk and really neither of them have a solid plan, neither side is strong enough. which is when jack comes back.

jack comes back to the bunker with his family, and tfw isn’t really happy about this, but they all chat and come to the realization that lucifer was right about all of this, and they should start putting trust in each other to take out the big man. to which sam goes...

‘won’t you just start the apocalypse again’ and he’s just kind of like ‘im done, it was all out of anger to get back at dad for what he did, and if he’s gone, there’s no reason to deep fry the planet.’ so yeah. they share their battle plans for how to get back at chuck.

they all realize all that they need is to seek the help of michael who is off doing his own thing, and adam isn’t thrilled that the brothers just want to use him again for world ending things. they spend a while trying to find him, eventually Lucifer finds him

they have a scene, a genuine heart to heart that resembles something from s5 with ‘dont you just wanna walk off the chessboard again, we’re all so tired. we can get him, my sons strong enough, stronger than amara.’

stuff with billie wanting to make things the way they were are still the same, cass dies, but it’s not permanent. after they kill chuck, jack makes a deal with the empty to have cass back, and he will leave the empty alone to sleep forever. tfw 2.0 drives off into the sunset

they have one last MOTW, a woman in white, and Sam and dean chuckle about how similar it feels to when dean first asked sam for help all those years ago. they burn the bones. cass and jack are in heaven talking about what to do to fix stuff up there, help lost souls etc

sam and rowena talk hell stuff once more, but they know that there won’t be any more fights between heaven and hell. At least while sam and dean are alive. the 4 archangels hang out and talk of their freedoms. lucifer passes the father torch to castiel for jack

sam and dean talk of their freedoms, how dean wants to own a bar like ellen and jo’s, how sam kinda wants to teach a new generation of hunters, more about saving both people and the monsters alongside eileen. it’s happy. everyone’s happy.

they all meet up at deans bar/roadhouse/place in the end, share a few beers, dance until the sun comes up, just happy that they’re finally free.

WOW what a long ass thread um... this was a long tangent i didn’t mean to take but yeah that’s how I would have done s15... Theres a lot more details I would include in this thread but I wanted to just get the gist of it.
