Okay so to start off I’m going to introduce myself, hi my name is Lydia I have been part of the trans community since I were about 9 or 10. Throughout my life I have experienced nothing but transphobia & hate in my home.
As many of you know Tom Felton aka the actor who acted as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films.Recently he has been getting tons of hate due to a tweet he liked a long time ago and then unliked due to whatever reason, which I think is the result of him being bad with technology
Many to this day are hating on him even for his looks which is completely absurd and ridiculous. As someone who is trans and a fan of Tom since I were 11 I think the tweet incident was not transphobia at play. He continues to this day to show his love and support to the community
Tell me why on earth would someone who is transphobic post something like this? I mean have you seen JKR ever post something of the sort? No right?
Now I know there are people in the community who are still hurt and upset which they are entitled to their opinions as well. But why are we ignoring the other half? In these situations you can not be bias and pick sides if you are cis.
Now let’s talk about the cameo where Tom is saying trans rights! Do you know that $400 is nothing to a famous actor like Tom? He doesn’t need it and he never brags about how much he actually has. He could have easily declined the cameo but did he? The answer is no!
So the feltbeats ladies posted these recently and they know and have known Tom for a very long time and know what he stands for better than any of us! Who are we to say they’re wrong? Especially when we don’t know him personally?
I also think it’s very ridiculous people are attacking him for calling JKR’s “writing” keyword WRITING genius. Which it very much is and if you don’t think that... why are you still in the Harry Potter fandom? Separate her work from her beliefs please and thank you!
I’m sorry but the people who are not even trans and are picking sides to spread hate because they are bored then call it “educating” are childish and ignorant.
I have dealt with a home full of transphobic parents and siblings growing up and Tom is the complete opposite of what I have experienced. If you pay attention you can tell he genuinely cares about every person and animal no matter race or sexuality etc.
And to comment on why he hasn’t responded to all of this Twitter chaos about the tweet is simple.... it would not matter to must of you if he did! Y’all would still find a way to hate on him! Y’all would say something like-“he only apologized because he was getting cancelled”

As someone who is a part of this community and a proud Harry Potter & Tom Felton fan, I ask you to stop spreading hate towards Tom and his fans that are just trying to enjoy someone they love!! Thanks for reading this thread ~Lydia <3
