how i went from overweight (71.3 kg) to underweight (48.6 kg) in a year — a thread
little disclaimer: this /obviously/ won't work for everyone and this doesn't work for me anymore but it's a good starting point !! this period was from aug 2018 to aug 2019

breakfast: for the first half of that year (this was starting from august) i ate really poorly for breakfast, it started off as buttered bread or croissants but i eventually transitioned into eating fruits, oats, and yogurt
at the end of the year, my go to breakfast was a half cup of strawberries and chocolate sprinkles (don't ask about the sprinkles just try it), i currently eat fruit or a muffin on weekdays and black coffee with two biscoff cookies on weekends
lunch: ive always skipped lunch on weekdays as i dislike eating at school, i instead had sparkling water most of the year for lunch except for weekends, on weekends ill have stir fry or lentils and quinoa and sometimes my family ate out
i always had lunch with some water as i had a poor habit of not drinking it, i never had desserts during this period as i didn't heavily restrict often. nowdays i have coffee as my dessert and maybe two more biscoff cookies
dinner: dinner is similar to lunch but i ate dinner everyday, sometimes we also had stuffed sandwiches or pasta but i kept my portions small while still not as small as i eat now, i again never had desserts except for tea
now i used desserts in small portions to prevent me from binging on sweets later in the week and this helps most of the time
i never snacked and rarely exercised for the first half of that year but i soon started doing freeweight training via youtube videos and went to the gym for four hours (two on the treadmill, 10 mins on the stair climber, 1-2 hours on the bike)
i can't exactly say why this doesn't work for me any longer but this may help if you're stuck on a plateau

through this period i ate anywhere from 400-1000 kcal a day depending on events, i varied it throughout the year and changed my intake based on how i felt
end of thread !! ill make sure to add anything if i forgot to add it already
