- 9 bowl game ’s including a BCS

...all since 2001.

Nebraska has ZERO Big XII/B1G ’s & just 6 bowl wins since 2001.

Both teams have won their Big Ten division once since divisions became a thing in 2011.

Nebraska got DEMOLISHED by 39 points (70-31) in 2012 against Wisconsin.

Iowa lost by 3 against Michigan State in 2015.

They’re going to remind you of their trophy case - which is on the left - but will not acknowledge that Sears doesn’t even exist anymore & that same “national championship trophy” is now sponsored by AMWAY.

The real one now looks like the picture on the right.

The rivalry dates back to 1891 when Iowa boatraced Nebraska, 22-0, behind five TD’s by Burt German (3) & William Larrabee (2).

Touchdowns were worth 4 points in 1891.

Nebraska leads the all-time series 29-18-3, but 20 of Nebraska’s wins in the series came before the Battle of Midway (1942)

Since then, Iowa leads the series 11-9 and includes two Iowa L’s to - as Husker fans always remind Iowa fans lately - Iowa’s worst teams ever - 1999 & 2000

Iowa has never lost to Nebraska while being nationally ranked.

Nebraska has lost twice to Iowa while being nationally ranked - 1981 when Iowa won 10-7 against #7 Nebraska and 2016 when Iowa crushed #16 Nebraska 40-10.

Iowa has won 5 games in a row vs. Nebraska - incl. 4 in a row in Lincoln & 6 of the last 7 played in the series.

Husker fans will remind you that those were against their “worst teams” that included two 9-4 teams (‘13 & ‘16)

Be sure to ask which seasons count & which ones don’t

They’re going to bring up the alleged racism issue at Iowa from this summer. Remind them that Chris Doyle & Iowa parted ways & Ferentz is one of the most revered coaches in the history of college football and is making changes to the program moving forward

Contrast this with Scott Frost, who hid in a closet while his girlfriend was dragged down the stairs by Lawrence Phillips in 1995.

Frost also said in June 2018, “And I’ll tell you this right now — if there’s anything negative about women, if there’s anything racial or about sexuality, if there’s anything about guns or anything like that, we’re just not going to recruit you, period.”

Throughout 2019, Frost kept Maurice Washington on the roster.

Washington was convicted of revenge porn charges and served 30 days in a Santa Clara jail in February of this year & is currently serving two years of probation.

Additionally, Nebraska is currently a defendant in a lawsuit that alleges the school mishandled complaints of sexual assault and harassment involving Husker football players Katerian LeGrone and Andre Hunt in 2018 while Frost was the head coach.

Nebraska’s most revered coach in program history - Tom Osborne - overlooked quite a few things including domestic abuse of women for the sake of winning

He also was an expert at hiding weapons used to commit crimes - Johnny Rodgers in 1970 & January 1994

Nebraska won 41 Big 8 from 1907-1995 which was a one game playoff with Oklahoma every season.

Iowa has been a Big Ten member since 1899 which has included Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin & Minnesota & won the conference 11 times

Since ‘01, Iowa has finished in the Top 10 FIVE TIMES & beaten SEVEN Top 10 teams based on end of season rankings.

NU has finished in the Top 10 exactly ZERO TIMES & beaten one Top 10 team

Nebraska fans will make fun of Iowa for hanging bowl game banners including the ones they lost...but they won’t mention that Nebraska also celebrates bowl appearances in their practice facility.

The only difference is that Nebraska hasn’t ordered a new banner since 2016.
