Frankly, I am shocked at the number of people blaming me for catching a Covid from a family member who came to my home for dinner. A person who had symptoms but did not disclose that until after we were infected - patient zero for all 7 of us becoming infected. 100% infected.
Just a typical Sunday dinner. No one knew or suspected that he was passing more than bread around my dinner table. It’s a cautionary tale. As people gather with those closest to them on Thanksgiving this same scene will play out all over America.
It’s easy to look at me and say why did you let him in. Why would I not? It was a small gathering of people I trusted implicitly to keep me safe. It was a deadly assumption. Don’t. Make. The. Same. Mistake.
