THREAD: Some people have been saying that I dislike stats because I rep Hazard, even though Hazard has insane stats in basically any football aspect you can imagine. Even his G/A is insane when his teammates are somewhat competent! Anyway, let’s get started:
Hazard’s G/A when his teammates don’t let him down can be up to 1 G/A per game, which is insane. We’ve seen examples of that with Belgium and his final season for Lille. In 18/19 he had 31 G/A in 37 league apps, but it could’ve easily been 40+ if his teammates didn’t bottle it.
Hazard’s dribbling stats from last decade were the best in the world after Messi’s, and in the period from 2016-2019 he was actually an even better dribbler than Messi.
Hazard’s finishing is top 2 in the world. He’s not even a goalscorer but when he goes for goal, it often goes in. He always overperforms his xG by a landslide (on average 34.51%), and in 17/18 specifically even by 51%.
Hazard created the most chances from open play in Europe’s top 5 leagues the last decade. And even when adding set-pieces he’s still top 3, while being the only player in that list below who doesn’t take set pieces at all.
Hazard and Messi are the only recorded players who made 15+ league goals & 15+ league assists more than once, and Hazard is the only one who did it in 2 different (top 5) leagues, maybe even 3 leagues soon. He is also one of the only 4 players who has ever done it in the EPL.
Hazard has 97 MOTM awards since 09/10, which is more than anyone bar Messi & Ronaldo, and he could soon join them as the third player to ever reach 100+ MOTM awards.

62 of them were in the Premier League btw, and that’s the highest number in Premier League history too.
Hazard’s passing is always top notch. In the EPL for example, his lowest ever pass success percentage was 83.4%, his highest was 86.8%. Considering Hazard passes a lot and does basically every type of pass you can think of, the average here is incredible. Stats by WhoScored.
When looking at his Chelsea career (18/19 isn’t updated in the pic) you can see how high his G/A could’ve been if his teammates knew how to finish. Look at 17/18 for instance: 6.1 dribbles P90 & 3.1 key passes P90, but he only had FOUR league assists, FOUR. Disgraceful.
End of thread. It’s remarkable how amazing Hazard’s stats are (and how they could’ve been even much better), and that while having so much more to his game besides stats. Even without G/A he can be the best player, as he heavily influences the game in every other way possible.
EXTRA (something I forgot to add): Hazard has 29 goals and 21 assists against the EPL’s top 6 sides, in 72 starts. That’s about 0.7 G/A per start against top sides only, and that number could have easily been above 0.8 or even 0.9 if it weren’t for his teammates. https://twitter.com/ehazardtweets/status/1139520854545653760
