When I was 8, my mom told me I was part of a study of the 100 smartest kids in NJ, which is why I went to a weekly session at Childrens hospital.

Later I learned it was occupational therapy b/c I had serious coordination deficits.

Here’s the lesson: lying to kids can be funny.
Of course I lorded over my sisters that they weren’t in the study. Oops.
The way I found out is that a few years ago I asked my mom if they ever published the results of “my study.”

She thought for a couple seconds and then burst out laughing.
