Yesterday I posted a nice picture of Sam. It got some likes and a few comments about how that picture made people feel. Some of them were apologetic about it, one retweet told me it was wrong to look at him that way, to feel the way he makes me feel. To show respect. (1/)
First of all, I’m fairly certain that picture wasn’t taken with the intention that the person looking at it would think about puppies and rainbows and the goodness of his heart. Second of all, I’m tired of appologizing (mostly to myself) about reacting a certain way (2/)
when I look at a beautiful man, or woman. No we should not be disrespectful, but we also shouldn't hide or pretend we don't feel what we feel. One thing I find the most amazing about this fandom experience is talking and interacting with people who does not appologize. (3/)
I,ve had conversations about things I never in a million years thought I would, about things I talk to noone in my so called real life about, with women of all ages. It's incredibly liberating, and life changing, and I love it! (4/)
So bottom line, don't feel ashamed, don’t appologize (esp not to yourself). Thirst proudly and feel everything, I think we deserve nothing less. (5/5)
