Any so-called information pertaining to alleged intent to register children being schooled in France based on religion, belief or origin, is absolutely false.

12 million children are already registered and the registration process will be completed including home schooling children.

The French Constitution guarantees access to education for all children, without any distinction, both as a right (public education is free and open to all) and as an obligation for the families.

The draft bill establishes a clear principle: all children must attend school. Home schooling will be limited to exceptional circumstances and require specific authorization based on clear and non-discriminatory rules.

This principle will be enforced in the primary interest of children in line with the objectives of the Convention on the Rights of the Child so as to ensure they are all offered the same educational tools and chances for their future.

It is, if anything, a mean to combat any sort of discrimination which has no place in France.
