As the #NittoATPFinals draw to a close today in London, and having been fortunate to work on all 12 events since 2009, it's time for a quick trip down memory lane (away from all the on-court highlights). Thread!
The 1-year Countdown Clock in 2008. Don’t ever forget where it all started @TheRealPatCash...
We ‘targeted The O2’ with @andy_murray as he contended for qualification for the first event in 2009, filmed overhead by helicopter on a giant bullseye on top of @TheO2 . Freezing up there that day but was very thankful for blue skies and no rain given the time and investment...
The first draw ceremony - in one of the pods on the London Eye with AM & Bryan Bros. @_markpetchey helping with the proceedings.
We took the top eight to 10 Downing Street. Somehow David Ferrer ended up looking like the odd one out as the only one in a grey suit… on the subject of PMs, a few years later Boris Johnson helped us launch the 2016 event as Mayor at City Hall
We had a Fan Zone which was a hive of activity. We put on an ‘Art of Tennis’ exhibition with players' stenciled 'self portraits' at an art gallery off Piccadilly Circus and then on-site at The O2. Among others, off memory I think @andyroddick's sold for an impressive 30K…
We shot some great official group photos. Favourite one? Battersea Power Station (
@wonderhatch) probably gets the nod for me, followed by Tower Bridge, shot by @MarcAspland. Tower of London strong too! We got lucky with London’s iconic landmarks - and we needed many over 12 yrs

The celebs flocked to @TheO2. Love this pic of Ronnie Wood with @rogerfederer. Maradona came and got booed by 17500 fans, loved it, and came back for about nine sessions in 2010. He was great to deal with! There was an incredible buzz around the event.
We held several Gala events (
@SusieH1) at the likes of the Natural History Museum and Royal Courts of Justice, and raised lots of money for @GreatOrmondSt.

. @TheBorisBecker helped us out with a few draws, on BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Radio with Chris Evans, and The One Show. He got stuck in traffic and was late, but delivered! Never in doubt #wheresBoris
We took the players on the Tube on the way to the House of Commons and a privileged reception at the Speaker’s House, generously hosted by John Bercow.
The boat was a permanent fixture up until 2020 - @Nicarzani got all eight players together for a BBC Breakfast exclusive
London didn’t get the send-off it deserved. But the 2020 event took place, a triumph in itself. Full credit to @acphogg and @alice123palace - fellow 12-year comrades! My abiding memory is the full stadium, and the 2.8m that came. Good luck to all today - end of an era!
