I rewatched the game, and I HATE to do this, but can’t ignore it. Here’s a thread of Marcus Hooker play yesterday.

TD1: Hooker bites down on the crosser instead of playing the deep man. This is a recurring theme.
TD2: This is mostly on Williamson, but watch Hooker to try break down around the 30 instead attacking the WR. And then can’t catch him
TD3: Hooker again bites up in coverage and the WR gets behind him
TD4: Hooker vacates open space in the zone for a crosser where there is already a ton of help. Another crosser fill the space he vacates. TD
TD5: This is the worst of all. Instead of hustling to get over there, Hooker jogs and as a result can’t make the tackle at the 15.
Good news buckeye fans is that these are coachable, there’s time to correct, and it really isn’t the whole defense being Swiss cheese. That single high safety is the most important spot though, so it’s important it gets right whether Hooker or someone else.
