#Pickford has just made the opposite incorrect decision to #Ederson!

#Reid gets in 1v1 only ~11yrds from the center of goal & #Pickford tries to wait & react rather than engaging & spreading/blocking which means even though the shot is central it beats him due to its power!

Again let’s be clear it’s not a mistake as such he just makes the finish much easier for the striker by making a sub optimal decision.

#Pickford also could have gotton away with his poor decision if he had used his right foot to make a lateral split save as the shot was close in his foots range.

However he instead tried to go for a negative step dive but there simply wasn’t enough time for his hand to get down.

Another goal which highlights just how important pre shot decison making & shot stopping technique selection is.

This is why I raved about #DeGea’s performance last night because he made it look so easy due to his decison making.
