Just to clarify, ADHD is still called ADHD regardless of being hyperactive subtype or not
"ADD vs. ADHD" is an outdated, inaccurate way of expressing the difference between inattentive ADHD, without the impulsivity / hyperactivity, but it's not technically correct

It confuses me tbh because I'm not hyperactive but am impulsive, which is still included in the hyperactive / impulsive subtype, so the lines can definitely be blurred and claiming if I'm ADHD vs. ADD is overly complicated in my situation
They aren't seperate disorders
They aren't seperate disorders
It seems silly to place a single symptom, one that is found in *multiple* ADHD subtypes, and isn't the exclusive, defining factor of any type (vs. say, impulsivity) on some pedastal which requires an entirely different name
People who aren't inattentive don't call themselves HD and drop the AD for example
but those people still exist
ADHD is inclusive of both of these expressions in any combination they occur

ADHD is inclusive of both of these expressions in any combination they occur
I gotta question just why that is
Why is there an urge for specifically non-hyperactive people to seperate themselves from those who are vs. literally any other symptom?
I think it's because hyperactivity is stigmatize as childish and y'all don't want to associate yourselves

It's similar to Asperger's vs. autism honestly
There's some questionable bias there

Anyway, hope that clears some things up
