Reminder: doing the work of divination is like trying to do math & touch lightening simultaneously. The energy + concentration it takes is immense. On top of that, being present & focused on the client, as well as holding a safe space, also takes energy. Be kind to your diviners.
I know some people will argue astrology (& tarot, geomancy, I Ching) is a logical system + more like reading a book. In my own practice thatâs not the case. I use technique to tease out possibilities & I let connection to the divine âshowâ me what is relevant to a client.
That connection is like an electric live wire. As a diviner I become a vessel for a message. Being a conduit is like being a living highway. It requires a lot of maintenance to keep yourself from injury or exhaustion. That connection must be tended, so too your body (the vessel).
This isnât the case for every professional diviner, and I respect that. But I think itâs healthy and respectful to assume that your diviner will need space to process the readings they have given, and to ârefill the wellâ for themselves. Itâs impossible to perpetually pour out

A good way to look at it: professional athletes need to rest, recover, cross train in other disciplines, and even work on their mental game. This recovery and ârefilling the wellâ is what helps them remain world-class performers
