The $HEX community lacks information on how to think about the project holistically and how it could be attractive to intelligent, risk hungry investors. After over 24 months in the community as a silent member, I would like to take the first stab at it.
Who invests in $HEX?

Investors into a system like $HEX are here to front-run the mainstream. They are expecting a "premium" for their market awareness, social connectivity, and risk tolerance that allows them to spot new opportunities early and to take action.
HEX is 1 candidate for such an investment. Now let us have a look if it is any good as a vehicle for this purpose.

I think there are 2 key questions you need to ask yourself before buying a product that is aiming at taking over a large market share in DEFI.
Will the product work technically?

There will be no additional development on the core product. So all the shilling around "audited contracts" and "completed product" are referring to this important fact. There is no risk of the actual product not being completed.
With this out of the way let us have a look at the next very important point. Will the product be adopted? There are 2 main adoption phases I can see:

a) Adoption Phase 1 (1-10 years)
b) Mature Phase 2
Adoption Phase 1 - Exponential price growth: Mass onboarding of users with exponential gains incentives (product is designed to work as an upward spiral with almost unlimited price potential) and large liquidity pool.
More users = more diversity in the stake durations, hence less big price volatility over time, slowly taking us to phase 2. (The product works somewhat like an insurance fund pool - as long as not everyone needs to be paid out immediately everyone can cash out at any price.)
Mature Phase 2 - A change in target audience will gradually take place, from high-risk speculators to stability seeking investors looking for a return without price volatility. A broad and diverse staker class will eventually make $HEX a stable coin with a stable return (CD)
How could you get "scammed"?

On one hand, it is a ingenious monetary policy lever that helps defend the project in the early stages by directly manipulating the key metrics and on the other hand, it is centralized in a few wallets and is the most controversial element of $HEX
Ask yourself:

a) Has the OA acted in the interest of the community in the past even if it had to make unpopular decisions in the short run: YES
b) Does the OA have incentives to gradually dump $HEX supply into the marketplace in the mid-term? The NO’s outweigh the YES’s
c) Are you aware of a better way to design $HEX while not holding the "admin keys" that would allow you to make monetary policy adjustments after launch? NO
d) Would it be OK for the OA to introduce liquidity into the market in the distant future to take profits once the regulatory monetary policy has been replaced by stable market forces? YES
If this type of long-form tweets resonate with the #HEX community, I might consider elaborating further on various aspects of this thread. Peace #Hexicans.
