Pls don’t come into my mentions being deliberately obtuse/committed to misunderstanding me. This tweet is directed to girls with a superiority complex, who think they’re prettier BECAUSE they are lightskin. If you are’t that type of girl, you shouldn’t be offended.
Don’t act like colourism doesn’t exist, as if some lightskins don’t think darkskins are jealous of them. There is nothing to be jealous of. There may be other factors that make you prettier than someone else but it will NEVER be because you are lightskin. Period.
If you’re lightskinned and you view this as an attack rather than as true statement that lighter does not automatically = prettier, then you’re part of the problem. Same goes for certain men.
Btw you don’t have to say it bluntly/directly “I think I’m prettier because I’m lightskin”. You can imply it by the way you act, the subtle indirect statements you make, it may even be a subconscious mentality. Superiority complex EXISTS, some do have it, deny it all you want
Anyways all complexions are beautiful. Every single one. If you’re lightskin and you hear what I’m saying, I rate you. If you feel attacked, go take a nap.
