Battery health threadddd. So I got an 11 towards the end of may. If I remember clearly. And I was really keen on battery health cus I wanted to be able to sell it off one day to upgrade. I started by googling and reading everything I could it.
First mistake I used to make with my X was letting it OVERHEAT. the iphone battery is a lithium polymer battery so heat can really damage it’s charging and holding capacity. Just keep it away from the sun. Your bag or somewhere with shade.
Second for OLED devices like the X is utilizing DARK MODE . This doesn’t affect my 11s screen (LCD screen) but On OLED panels, each pixel is individually lit. When the background is white, all the pixels are turned on and the display demands more power.
Don’t wait till the battery runs all the way down to charge it back up. Contrary to popular opinion and advise I used to take I actually try to charge up as soon as the battery goes PAST 50%. We can’t all be perfect with that but try. Sometimes you’re free
Try to use WiFi more if you can. Cellular network demands more power.
TURN OF NOTIFICATIONS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. the most important!!!
I turned off notifs. for ALL my apps and it’s been so peaceful. The phone doesn’t light up or “ding” ten times /minute. Saves your battery a lot of work. If the app isn’t imptnt turn it off❤️1/2
Also reduces the number of hours you spend on your phone and helps you keep focus on your work. Should have done it sooner tbh. Those who get light flashes with notifications. Mo na mobr3đź’€
Turn off your push mails. Unless you want to be alerted every time you get a mail (junk or promo) you can always check your mails manually.
Turn on optimized charging. I didn’t get that part of it but apparently the phone learns your sleep pattern so slows down charging to when you’re about to wake up so the battery doesn’t overcharge.
