My thought process this morning: Oh, neat! Redeeming Justice made the SSRN Top Ten List of U.S. Constitutional Law: Rts & Liberties eJournal...Wonder what else is on the list...oh cool, great articles by @orangebegum & @Erika_K_Wilson... Wait a minute WTF 😳😳😠
6 of 10 on the list focus on the 2nd Amend., most promoting vigilante justice and arming militia-style groups in response to the civil unrest of the summer (decoded: BLM protests). See, e.g., this gem with over 6,000 downloads
Or this one, arguing that there is a heightened right to "self-defense" to defend property against tyrannous factions (again giving the example of BLM protests this summer). Can't read this without thinking of Kyle Rittenhouse and the McCloskeys...
And the list goes on and on...each to a greater or lesser degree arguing for an expansion of gun rts in light of the "rioting" and "looting" in "urban" areas this summer... This is racist fear mongering in the guise of legal scholarship. This is fox news scholarship.
