This is in no way arrogance, but rather a form of accountability to hold myself to this: building a business in freelance production is more mentally exhausting than I ever could have expected, but I will undoubtedly reach my goals and set new ones to build my dreams. More below.
A few difficulties: very few people understand that im not choosing to not spend time with them, but rather having to pour everything I have into building this dream and creating a sustainable and powerful business and brand. That shouldn’t be taken personally. - more below.
This isn’t targeted towards anyone, simply I’m just trying to express these thoughts and inform whoever happens to see this thread. But I feel passionate about breaking down the difficulties of building a company. And I want to be able be open about that process.
TL:DR - be nice to your business owner friends. It’s already overwhelming enough as it is. And please give grace before getting upset that we don’t respond quickly or are “so busy all the time”. Dreams take dedication. And dedication takes time. (Again, not @ anyone specifically)
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. I’ll be making these in video format sooner or later, but figured this was a solid way to start.
