healthy habits that make me feel better on bad days, a thread:
1. cleaning my room
- okay this seems really labor intensive (and it can be) but my mind feels a lot more organized when my space is organized. it can really help my anxiety

2. wearing comfy clothes
- wearing tight clothes like jeans or something can make me really insecure about my body, so putting on some sweatpants and a t shirt can be really beneficial

3. phoning a friend
- this one just makes me feel more like a person tbh. talking to someone makes it a lot easier to remember that you’re here and people know you and care about you.

tw// exercise
4. getting moving/doing a workout
- i only recommend this one to people who are in a relatively good place with their bodies, because otherwise it can be very stressful. to me, a workout helps me feel grounded and calm, but it’s okay to be stressed out by them.

5. lighting a candle, finding a favorite smell
- this one sounds really stupid, but sometimes smelling something familiar can be really calming and helpful to me when i feel all over the place/anxious. it reminds me that i’m safe and in a familiar place.

6. eating something that you associate with health
- remember that “healthy” food is subjective and it’s okay to eat whatever you want as long as you have balance, but eating something i consider “healthy”, makes me feel better about how i take care of myself

8. listening to new music
- sometimes it’s good to listen to music that doesn’t have any emotional attachment for you, so find a new artist that you want to listen to, and have a stress-free listening party :)

9. put your phone down
- it’s VERY hard for me to do this, but sometimes just exchanging my phone for my computer makes my brain feel less cluttered.
