V glad I was freed from the shackles of length retention and curl definition and started experimenting more with my natural hair
Definitely been getting a lot more comfortable lately with wearing my natural hair down/out
I used to feel so much pressure to always have my hair âdoneâ but then I realized I was listening people who have looser curl textures or literally donât own combs and âmoisturizeâ their hair with oils so

Once I stopped focusing on length and started paying more attention to moisture and damage control, I felt a lot more confident ab my hair. When I really started to understand her likes/dislikes then my outlook really turned around. Haircare became fun instead of tedious

Donât get me wrong, people have always liked and complimented me on my natural hair, but itâs only ever been in the context of it being longer than other womxnâs hair or based on the fact that most of the womxn in that area STAYED in protective styles.
