🧵 So we're trying to support local restaurants in DeKalb County as they are obviously going through some of the roughest times in their history. It's important if you can to help keep the local economy and local businesses alive.
My wife spoke with the owner of where we picked up dinner tonight. It's been rough, and today she had someone call her and cuss at her up and down for not opening indoor dinning, go so far as to tell her "you don't have to listen to them."

Them being... public health experts?
The jerk on the phone went so far as to say "I guess you don't want a customer."

It's obviously jarring to hear that if you're a restaurant owner.
So while we left her a huge tip, because she's awesome and the food is great, it really does pull into view what is happening right now.

These restaurant owners are under tremendous pressure. A lot of them are trying to do the right thing and protect public health.
Please support your favorite local restaurant if you can during these times. I understand people spending their money at places they can dine indoors. For me personally, my dollars are going to the ones trying to do the right thing. #ProudlyDeKalb #onlyinsycamore
