I gotta tell y’all about the mess I saw on the NextDoor app last night! #storytime

So apparently this woman moved into a new neighborhood and her young black cat got out and got lost. Her daughter (living in another state) got on NextDoor to ask for help.

People on NextDoor were helpful and directed her to the neighborhood’s FB group because it appears someone found the cat and took it in.

The woman who found that cat posted pictures the cat showing how happy it was. So the daughter contacted her. It appeared there would be a happy ending.

But the woman who found the cat didn’t want to give it back! Apparently she thinks the spirit of a dead black cat she used to have led this cat to her for to keep. Seriously!

So last I read the police were now involved and haven’t seen an update since. And this why I keep that NextDoor app on my phone. Whew!
