URGENT: Today was the wedding of two of our friends and colleague journalists at @Equipe_Media: @AhmedEttanji and @ElkhalidiNazha in occupied El Aaiún, Western Sahara. Instead of celebration, it& #39;s been a day of terror from Moroccan police: 1/4
The celebration was violently interrupted by Moroccan forces. At the house where they were celebrating, Moroccan forces cut electricity and barred the doors from the outside. As of 21:29 guests were still not able to leave the house and the house is surrounded by the police. 2/4
As per Sahrawi tradition, @ElkhalidiNazha& #39;s in a different house which was also attacked by Moroccan police. As of 21:29, it& #39;s surrounded by the Moroccan police, she& #39;s not allowed to leave and some of her family, including two kids aged 1 and 3, are prevented from entering. 3/4
Nazha’s husband @AhmedEttanji& #39;s house, is also surrounded by Moroccan police and he& #39;s prevented from leaving. Moroccan police gave contradictory statements that they& #39;re doing this due to COVID-19 but also because of a "judicial order issued by the king& #39;s prosecutor". 4/4
