There is lots of debate about when you are ready to launch your product; spectrum is from “launch something you are embarrassed of” to “don’t launch until it is perfect.” The answer is nuanced and situational but is a partly a question of depth vs breadth.
Depth: the product MUST meet the needs of a core group of users and do what it purports to do incredibly well. You need to delight your core audience. It really doesn’t matter if that core audience is niche but you want them to regard the product as “life changing.”
Breadth: there is lots of time to add new features and you don’t need to pack everything into V1.0. Depth trumps breadth. Over time you will want to broaden the product and add new features to add more value to your core users and attract new users.
