eureka moment but disclaimer: i might be reaching.

i think the question "don& #39;t you know by now?" is supposed to confuse us. on purpose.

(short thread ahead.)
i& #39;ve been reading threads and discussions regarding what it could possibly mean because i don& #39;t have a solid theory i believe in yet, and other than it being a song lyric (in which gege replied to with an & #39;https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👀" title="Augen" aria-label="Emoji: Augen">& #39;) i encountered this particular one. https://twitter.com/___somepeople/status/1330179122421764101">https://twitter.com/___somepe...
i agree with it, but in the very sense, "don& #39;t you know by now?" still holds no answer. what is it that karl is supposed to know? is this line another way of vlad saying i love you (because i& #39;ve seen this theory)? is it the song? is it another personal reference to gege& #39;s story?
the process of racking my brain made me think that maybe *this* was gege& #39;s intent all along.

karl is still in the process of figuring himself out. in order to better translate his confusion to the audience, the answer to "don& #39;t you know by now?" is kept vague.
we& #39;re left to wonder, since vlad thinks and understands so far ahead, and karl& #39;s the one that& #39;s supposed to catch up. to do this, we& #39;re put in the same shoes as karl, who, luckily, has always been guided by vlad when he& #39;s trying to understand his feelings.

now that i think about it, this solidifies that tweet that says the karlvlad film analysis dynamic (seen at every cbb) is a direct representation of karl& #39;s progression is in the process of understanding his identity.

finally, he& #39;s not just watching, but he& #39;s thinking *out loud*. https://twitter.com/vladnikarl/status/1330002506353557505">https://twitter.com/vladnikar...
[emphasis on out loud because, though silent, he might already be thinking of it in the previous episodes, but the fact that he& #39;s comfortable to share his thoughts with vlad in order to navigate everything better and get feedback is SUCH a huge step forward.]
so yea, bottomline: like karl, we& #39;re not supposed to really truly know what "don& #39;t you know by now?" should mean, with absolute certainty.

at least, not yet.
