Be Cool, Scooby-Doo definitely hits different.
Also, no, context will not help. lol
Jeez, I wasnt expecting this random tweet to make numbers haha

Okay so... BCSD had the VERY unfortunate privilege of following up on Mystery Inc. which darn near everybody loves. It's not bad at all--in fact I would make the argument that it's the funniest, cleverest SD to exist
The thing about BCSD that most people cannot get past is... well, its artstyle.

Most dismiss it as being Family Guy Lite and... while that design callout has similarities (IMHO), it's also kinda not fair. The animation itself in several of the eps are actually pretty damn good.
(That's not to say FG's animation isn't good -- please don't put words into my mouth. What I mean is that BCSD's animation makes its design fluid. Remember how ppl reacted to the original Teen Titans' artstyle when it first leaked? Think of it like that)
The designs aren't everyone's cup of tea & I think that's fair too b/c it's the reason why a lot of folks turned up their nose at it so... it wound up being a double edged sword.

I look at BCSD the same way I do The Looney Tunes Show tbh. Same characters, VERY different approach
Best example: Daphne

Fred didn't have anything resembling a personality until Pup Named Scooby Doo. That's inarguable. Daphne's personality was minor in the Scrappy seasons but Pup Named is, again, where her modern iteration/quirks mostly came from.

BCSD flipped it on its head.
To put it at its most basic -- BCSD Daphne is a 100% weirdo and arguably has the crazier elements of PNSD Fred.

Meanwhile Fred is his modern iteration without a lot of the established PNSD quirks so he's sillier in a different, straighter way.

And I don't mind it if its funny.
Which is BCSD's goal.

If Mystery Inc. took the Scooby concept and put it in a serious story, Be Cool took the Scooby and goes goofy with it for the sake of going goofy. YMMV as to whether that's something you like, hence its divisiveness.

It is what it is.
You just have to look at it as a different take, and IF you can get past the artstyle (really, just say you don't care for the style instead of calling it FG b/c stills won't help it plus FG approaches its animation differently) it's a thoroughly enjoyable & underrated show.
*cough* IMHO.
