2. We must all do our part to reduce transmission. No one is immune and we could all do more.

3. You protect those around you and yourself by wearing a mask when in public spaces. Masks don’t lead to low oxygen, bacterial infections or other ill effects; that’s bogus. They also don’t infringe on our basic human rights; that’s shortsighted.

4. You can support local businesses, but should do so safely. Almost all businesses offer take-out or curb-side pick-up. Shopping for leisure or making a “Costco trip” are not necessary right now and can lead to unnecessary spread.

5. Keep your bubble small by limiting your close contacts to your immediate family members. This won’t last forever. It isn’t easy. But it is necessary.

7. Download the COVID alert app. It can help speed up contact tracing, which is important to identify cases of COVID. There is no conspiracy to this. It is safe, easy and the right thing to do. https://www.canada.ca/.../coronavirus.../covid-alert.html

8. When a public health nurse or other contact tracer calls you to say that you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, be kind, follow instructions, get tested if told to do so and isolate. These staff have been working flat out and deserve the respect of the public.

9. Get your Flu Shot if you haven’t already. Influenza can kill people too. If we start to see rising rates of Influenza coupled with COVID, our system will be really stretched. Visit http://www.4flu.ca to find out where you can get your flu shot in Saskatchewan.

10. When the COVID vaccine becomes available, get immunized, but remember the roll out of the vaccine will take several months. Don’t fixate on a date and just because the vaccine is available won’t mean the pandemic is over.
