Thread clarifying my position on Hayyat Tahrir al Sham
It is not exactly a secret that I support this group, albeit not unconditionally,
Let me clear up a few misconceptions
Unlike myself, Justin does NOT support this group, contrary to what the rose twitter likes to project, our group is NOT a cult and disagreements are indeed allowed in it
While it is true that I am a Salafi, that is not the main reason I support it. Jaish al Islam are also Salafi, yet they are a disgusting criminal group that kidnapped four leading Syrian revolutionaries and martyred Abu Ali Khibbayeh
The principle issue I am having with most mainstream "Free Syrian Army" factions is their tendency to reconcile, with produces disastrous results every time.

furthermore, Hayat Tahrir al Sham has proved adaptable and doesn't rely on foreign aid
Here is for example, Hayat Tahrir al Sham auxiliary "popular resistance companies"
notice how they, these non frontline, reserve troops, are better equipped than many FSA frontline units despite the fact in foreign support? this can be attributed to two reasons
first of all, Hayat Tahrir al Sham is far better with tackling corruption and reducing infighting, so they can organize their forces more effectively
second, they are far more seasoned when it comes to organizing and training forces! they have chechen jihad veteran anti fascist internationalists helping them with this. they are excellent with their innovations, notably the Idlibi Bulpup, often make from a simple AKM
Here is an idlibi bulpup AKM
Here is an Idlib produced "Gorka" suit
HTS have shown they are pragmatic and have allowed a civilian administration to take over, as well as incorporated less ideology forces
they are coming off as increasingly able to engage internationally, and potential the United States could partner with them against terrorism and Assad
their recent operations against HaD show their ability to clamp down on terrorist cells
i do not support them unconditionally, so i call on them to release #freetox #freebilal
