Something the Democratic party doesn't seem to understand is how demoralizing it is, as a Democratic voter, to have the Democrats not be standing up to fight for us.

We worked our tails off to get him out of office. We showed up. We campaigned. We compromised like hell.
WE WON.

And now the Democratic party is getting their asses handed to them by the Clown show, and keeps telling folks to wait.

Look, the least bad situation is that the Administration is testing edge cases for a more competent Fascist to come along.
That is *bad*. The totally obscene behavior being encouraged by the Republican party is bad. Both the part where they are being ANTI-DEMOCRACY and the part where they are proud of their roles as COVID-19 Superspreaders.
The Democratic party should be fighting this, loudly. And for those of us that have supported them... I am sure things are happening behind the scenes, but I don't think I'm alone in believing they are vastly misreading how things work in 2020.
It is different everywhere. But a lot of folks are living in and fighting in places that are deeply hostile to their very existence. Disabled folks who don't feel like they can go to the store because mask compliance is so low. Black folks who can't work their jobs without abuse.
Elected government represents everyone, and I'm glad for Biden's messaging on that.

But don't overshoot. Stop throwing everyone who voted for you under the damn bus.

We voted. We won.

Act like it.
I know the line. "If we ignore him, he'll go away" (that's not true) or "If we just stay quiet, we'll get to January 21st and it'll be fine."
I think there is a lot of underestimating the long term damage being done right now, and I'm shocked and confused that we keep underestimating the cost of Trump.
