background: on my last informative thread, i spoke about something that didn’t really affect me. tone indicators DIRECTLY AFFECT ME; which is why i want to speak on this and educate people.
what are tone indicators - tone indicators are used to help neurodivergent people understand/comprehend written text.
why are tone indicators important - tone indicators are important because neurodivergent people tend to not understand social cues like sarcasm, jokes or romantic interactions. tone indicators are super helpful and help us understand a TONNN.
why you shouldn’t mock indicators - i’m just gonna start this by saying, if u make fun of tone indicators you are BEING BLATANTLY ABLEIST. you are mocking something that helps a ton of people and ur also being a shitty person in general.

final thoughts - if u say that tone indicators are dumb and not important, u are valid in your opinion ig. just please don’t spread hate or mock tone indicators. it’s really hurtful and again BLATANTLY ABLEIST.
