Like many solidarity funds across the UK, we were born out of mutual aid groups.
Through mutual aid group volunteers we were able to pick up groceries and run errands during Lockdown1. But what about people who couldn& #39;t afford to pay for groceries? #LondonSolidarityFundraiser https://twitter.com/NewhamSFund/status/1329835502447550470">https://twitter.com/NewhamSFu...

Newham mutual aid had the volunteers, but not the funds. And so we started http://Newhamsolidarityfund.org"> http://Newhamsolidarityfund.org where people can make one-off or monthly contributions, and other people can apply for up to £50 each month to cover what they need. We are based on trust, care, and solidarity

It& #39;s a model that we share with those other solidarity funds who helped us to get started. And we& #39;ve now teamed up with @FundGoose @hhsolidarity @SE15CF & @SE16CF to launch this crowdfunder campaign to raise & redistribute £10,000 to people across London!! https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/london-solidarity-fundraiser">https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/london-so...
