The last time Rey saw him smile was before he collapsed in Exegol. She thought it was the last time she would see true happiness in its purest form.

When he came back, there was hope that she'd see it again. But weeks went by and Ben was silent, sad, and mostly exhausted.

She helped nurse him back to health and Rey insisted to Finn and Poe that he and the Rebels were ready to have him be a real part of the resistance. They couldn't hide him anymore.

They agreed and decided to bring in Ben's first guest.

He walked into Ben's room, feet dragging with a small gift stuffed in his hands. Ben was sitting at a table, nervous as well, unable to look.

"Braaaggghhh...." his guest said quietly.

"Uncle Chewie..." Ben said tearfully.

Chewbacca placed a heavy hand on Ben's shoulder and handed him his present. The Falcon's dice.

They had no words. They just embraced and Rey saw him smile again.
