From the throne of glass rules a king with a fist of iron and a soul as black as pitch. Assassin Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become his Champion. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown.
She hides her secret vigilantly; she knows that the man she serves is bent on evil.
Keeping up the deadly charade becomes increasingly difficult when Celaena realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. As she tries to untangle the mysteries buried deep within the glass castle, her closest relationships suffer.
It seems no one is above questioning her allegiances—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a foreign princess with a rebel heart.
Then one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy.
As Celaena's world shatters, she will be forced to give up the very thing most precious to her and decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie... and whom she is ultimately willing to fight for.

My Review:
This was waaaaay better than throne of glass. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT… Crown of midnight is like the calm before the storm. Celaena Sardothien keeps up her charade of loyalty to the Adarlan's king. Amongst the chaos, a deadly secret unfolds.
Secrets are often a burden and it costs your loved ones the most.

“"The best lies were always mixed with truth."” –
Meanwhile, we definitely have to appreciate each charecters and their diversity. Choal's affection for Celaena is complicated and his loyalty is to the crown. I adore Nehemia profusely.
A heartbroken Dorian leads to a heartbroken me [But he might want to take the assumptions down a notch.] The plot intensifies as it goes and is mesmerizing.
“The rest of the world quieted into nothing. In that moment, after ten long years, Celaena looked at Chaol and realised she was home.” –
Celaena seeks to find about the mystery that revolves around the wyrdmarks and soon learns about wyrdgates and wyrdkeys, that I found rather fascinating. The key's wielder is said to possess immense power.
“"I want you to know,” she whispered, “that you were right. You were right. I am a coward. And I have been running for so long that I’ve forgotten what it is to stand and fight."” –
