So many people I& #39;ve spoken to this year say to me "2020 is a write-off" and they& #39;re all assuming (not that I can blame them for it) that 2021 will be much better now that Biden is likely to be in office and we have a vaccine announcement. ...
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there& #39;s a very good chance 2020 will feel like a piece of cake compared to 2021. I& #39;m not trying to terrify people by saying this or break down anyone& #39;s spirit any further, ...
I just want to rip the band-aid off sooner rather than later so to speak. The global economy has suffered tremendously and while there has been much economic stimulus from govts and banks etc, bouncing back is going to be no small feat. ...
It& #39;s like Gangrene on a leg. You have to remove the leg to save the rest of the body but that person will never be the same again. It& #39;s just an unfortunate consequence of an already very bad situation. Couple that with increasing chances of civil war in -- not just the US but --
Many parts of Europe and some parts of Asia and that makes for some very hairy situations to say the least.

The thing is, US news dominates the globe so much that much of what is going on in the rest of the world gets buried in the heap...
Like her or hate her but China is busy forming a geo-political bloc with a number of countries in the middle East and Asia and the consequences of that is that the West is likely to go to war with the East and the laymen will get caught in the middle. ...
2021 will be a major stepping stone for what is to come with the West& #39;s war with China.

So all I& #39;m saying is, start focusing on the things that give you real peace and contentment that don& #39;t depend on externalities the way you have become accustomed to.
Travel is still not likely to be the same again. Heck, just going back to normality in terms of socialising, vaccine or no vaccine isn& #39;t even going to be the same. We& #39;re all so emotionally charged by the whole thing that letting go of the fear wont be easy.
Learn to get used to uncertainty, instability and the unknown. I don& #39;t mean that in a morbid or apocalyptic way. I just mean the less you try to resist change and the less you try to hold onto things there better you& #39;ll cope with what is coming.
This is the actual reason I am writing this thread. Everything is about to get much more political, much more divided, much more extreme but the best thing you can do is get even less "bothered" in a manner of speaking.
