I wish I could be done processing this but I’m not.
Television is a *visual* medium.
And *visually*, what we got was a bronly ending.
I shouldn’t have to headcanon entire chunks of the narrative to make it make sense - to get the found family aspect.
Covid was a factor.
BUT.
The fact that within hours of the finale airing, we as a fandom had come up with multiple workarounds to establish a character’s presence without the *actor* being present shows that with a little imagination, the production could’ve gotten there too.
What hurts is that apparently no one *cared* enough to even try. I’m baffled by the disconnect between what was put onscreen and what I thought the story was about. Yes they finished the story - but it didn’t *look* like the story I’ve been watching for 15 seasons.
