Quick summary on the current state of web development on Apple M1 (a thread)
First, the elephant in the room:
golang 1.16 will introduce support for Apple M1, but it& #39;s coming in February 2021. There you go, I predict that Docker on M1s is coming in about 6-12 months.

- Python, Node and OCaml already run natively
- PHP, Deno, .NET and Rust run on Rosetta2
- Haskell is not yet supported

I believe Ruby and Elixir should be good for M1, although I couldn& #39;t find related issues on their trackers.
Devtools are also looking good for the transition:
- native brew support is in progress for most formulas
- asdf will be good once plugin vendors provide support
- VSCode is in early testing
- Electron and Unity are now native

Overall, the whole ARM transition looks incredible (for the magnitude of the change), except Docker. But hey, it& #39;s marvelous black magic and an enormous effort, what did you expect?!
This transition is also a great opportunity to give back to your community. If you are one of the brave ones and your new shiny is on the way:
1. Run tests and builds
2. Help with documentation
3. Provide remote access to devs who don& #39;t have access to M1, yet
