So Paypal is currently attempting to demand my deadname from me and holding $118 of my money hostage until I do so.

@PayPal, I have been using Paypal under the correct name for years now. I have been conducting business under my real name. Everyone knows me by my real name.

The only place where my deadname still figures is on my photo ID and birth certificate due to regressive government policy that requires a multi-year legal procedure to change my legal name and gender marker in Poland.

Are you telling me I would have to change my name back to a name nobody I do business with over Paypal knows me by, erasing years of progress, and outing myself as transgender to everyone in contact with me to get my money back from you?

I have been using Paypal under my real name for years without issue. Why the sudden change in policy against transgender people?

Update: PayPal has now changed the PUBLICLY DISPLAYED name on my account to my deadname without my consent.

This is unacceptable.

I have changed it back manually. If I have further trouble I will continue posting in this thread.
