people keep saying "it only has a 1% fatality rate" without carrying that math to its conclusion - 200,000 people in the US got a positive test today. today, 2,000 people found out they're going to die. and it'll happen again tomorrow. and the next day. and the next day.

many people are rightly pointing out that this fatality rate will go up once all the doctors and nurses get sick and the hospitals overflow & also that it doesn’t even address how many people will be left with long term illnesses that will eventually kill them.

honestly i’m extremely freaked out that more people aren’t extremely freaked out.
