And they ran into cold water and hot lead.
And they trained all their lives to embody honor through martial mastery.
And they dined with lions.
And they roamed the mountains and wore the skins of the beasts they trapped and killed.
And they tapped the veins of the earth to fuel the visions of mankind.
And they performed feats of strength because it was hard.
And they ate their brothers rather than surrender to their enemies.
And now they don't.
