I want to tell you 2 true stories. This is the story of a man who is going to be named Ita here, he killed a lot of people, this man had no real reason to kill, and no objective in doing so. One day he started to think and question himself.
he was doing it on his own knowing it was wrong, but he was starting to regret. This man has made a long journey in search of scholars who can help him repent by redeeming himself. People recommended a man to him. When he went to see him, he explained the story to him.
Let's say the man's name is Joris. Joris replied: "You have no more chance, impossible, you will never be able to redeem yourself, drop it", ita, angry immediately killed the scientist by adding him to the list of his crimes.
Desperate, he was looking for other means of reparation, he was again advised a scholar. He found him and then explained his story. This scientist told him that he could always redeem himself, he told him that the place where he lived was bad for him.
and he would have to make a trip to a pure land where he could help as many people as possible and rebuild his life while devoting his heart to others. Ita followed the advice, when he was on his way he was almost close to the death and was almost close to the good land.
He didnโ€™t have a death full of torture because he was sincere in his act and despite everything he was able to discover peace and freedom, because he was in this pool of redemption.
The second story concerns a man who will be called Zid, he terribly buried his daughter alive because it was a girl and wanted him a boy, yes, that is his reason! It's a true story and this man was able to redeem himself and be one of the most influential and best men.
He did this horrible act of his will but he overcame it and tasted real treasure and real freedom.
Now let's come to Eren. Since his mother died, he has suffered. He lost his innocence by killing 2 traffickers to save one of the most important people in his life, he had traumatic memories of the future, he has 3 titans in him
in addition to the accumulation of suffering and loss, he seeks freedom and in my opinion is going through a crisis, a period of ordeal, but according to the opinion of the masses, he must not redeem himself because that would ruin his character or else and it is impossible?
The 2 stories told above are those of 2 men who had no specific objective to do their atrocity. Eren had a story, and hates what he does, knowing he left 4 years for a plan.
I donโ€™t justify what he does but from his extreme reaction we see that his nation was going to be exterminated if nothing had been done, everything would have come back to the same. The atrocities of rumbling would have been the same as those of the extermination of the island.
People's conclusion: he doesnโ€™t deserve forgiveness or redemption. Ita and Zid who had no special reason redeemed each other. Eren, who has been influenced by a whole history of suffering, deserves only death...
without even having the opportunity to question himself like the 2 others after their sins? We will see together the end anyway...
