Okay I wasn't going to say more but I watched Sia's interview with variety &...
"...There's this person who can't speak, she might as well be an inanimate object like a wig..."
I'm sorry. What did I just hear? Why is the variety editor comparing an autistic person to a wig?

Sia to her crew on set: I want this to show love. If you have a problem please come to me.
Also Sia: I only had to fire 2 people.
As soon as anyone bought a bad vibe I was like you're fired.
Gee. I wonder why she isn't taking criticism onboard....

This movie is "Rainman the musical but with girls."

I can see the undercurrent of good intent = for people to treat autistic people well (don't talk about them like they aren't there, they can hear you etc) but her ego about being a saviour (just see how she talks about maddie) stops her listening to the harm she's doing.
Anyway. That interview was a mess. And this whole thing is a mess.
