what if I had a lot of unpopular thoughts about wwx and necromancy loudly and in public
Okay, I& #39;m just going to preface this by saying that I ADORE Wwx. I don& #39;t talk abt him a lot but he is my favorite main character and I think he& #39;s a big cutie patootie and I want to squish him and hold him close.

If you don& #39;t want to hear me say some truly Hot Takes, scroll on.
Look, the moment when wwx brought wn back from the dead, I basically Lost My Fucking Mind. I had to pause the episode and panic text Yikes bc HOLY FUCK. Necromancy (not resurrection) is just one of those choices you can& #39;t undo. It& #39;s a crossing of the Rubicon: you broke the rules.
The living do not get to use the bodies of the dead to do their bidding. That& #39;s deeply uncool. Deeply profane. There& #39;s a reason why fierce corpses can& #39;t actually be dead bodies and have to be puppets instead. You just don& #39;t DO THAT to a body. It& #39;s not acceptable. It& #39;s obscene.
In the case of wn, Wwx has his family& #39;s (well, wq& #39;s) permission. But in other cases when he casually borrows dead bodies to fight evil? He doesn& #39;t. To use human bodies for your own purposes is a desecration. You will never have the moral high ground.
I think this is important in part bc it helps highlight what wwx gives up when he gives up his golden core and when he turns to demonic cultivation. The price is terribly high. Lwj& #39;s defense of him puts Lwj in the wrong. Demonic cultivation is part of what makes xy unpalatable.
wwx and xy are mass murderers, sure, but they are also practicing cultivation in a way that is fundamentally transgressive and obscene. They have broken important elements of the ethical code of cultivators. Yes, lqr is stodgy, but he also speaks for the moral orthodoxy.
Murder is bad, but necromancy subverts the order of the universe. (Doing both us extra bad, xy!!) Wwx and Lwj may be the protagonists, but they save their world from jgy by tearing apart the fundamental order of it. Jgy is a murderer, yes, but wwx is a necromancer.
And that& #39;s worse. You can lay a slain man to rest; you can give him due honors in death. You cannot undo the obscenity of your deceased loved one being turned into a tool for another man& #39;s will. The body won& #39;t become undesecrated. You can& #39;t heal that. It doesn& #39;t go away.
And what of wn and sl, our surviving fierce corpses? Neither of them has a place in the world. wwx actively worries about finding a sect to take wn in. sl plans to walk the earth until he can bring Xingchen back into the cycle of reincarnation.
They are both stuck in a liminal space between life and death, of not belonging. wwx feels compelled to do right by wn, to try to find him a place in the world. (xy is more dead and less generous.)
If you insist on talking about the relative crimes all the characters did and weighing them against each other, necromancy, particularly as an abuse of human corpses, has to be brought into consideration.

thanks for coming to my ted talk.
anyway, I know that basically no one on my tl actually cares about the moral standing of the characters bc that& #39;s not our Vibe, but here& #39;s a thing that bugs me and thanks for listening. Wwx is a nasty, nasty necromancer and I think that& #39;s super hot and evil of him.
