ASO makeover thread.

Starting stats:

Launched in August

September
- 113 Units
- 1.8% conversion
- 7.8K impressions

October
- 96 Units
- 1.6% conversion
- 7.7K impressions
Today I switched the icon, title and subtitle.

I also redid my keywords. I made some bad choices when I set those up in August.

I plan to work on better screenshots next week.
New screenshots are out. Also made the hero on the icon bigger.

I wonder if having the lighter green in the screenshots helps with the objections some had before?

I’m still planning to try a different color. Perhaps some kind of red/orange sunset?
I cheated, I spent $200 on FB ads this month, so it's not really a good comparison, but here's my numbers.

November
- 446 Units
- 6.3% conversion
- 9.2K impressions
Also, ranked at #3 for burpee now. Was ~60 on Nov 1.
Updated my icon and screenshots a couple of weeks ago (blue screenshots and logo Dec 4), 2 tone logo (Dec 18).
I spent $300 on ads in December. My units from search haven't moved much so most of the improvement is from the ads.

December
- 769 Units
- 16.5% Conversion
- 6.7k Impressions
My search rankings continue to climb, but I think those keywords are too low volume to make a huge difference.
I finally took the time to split out "App Store Search" stats using "By Source Type" in app store connect.

I can confirm that switching up my icon and screenshots around the beginning of December had a big impact.
In an attempt to improve my ranking for "HIIT Workouts" (a higher traffic search term) I changed my main screenshot text to say "HIIT Workouts" instead of "Turn Burpees Into a Game".

Not a good change, switched that back yesterday.
Also my rating/review prompt hasn't been firing for the last month or so.

I outsmarted myself in how I was preventing it from firing too many times on my test devices.
I feel good about how my ASO is tuned for now.

Additional downloads, ratings and reviews will help, but those will come from with time and from other channels.
