the i knew you were trouble narrative - how it harmed both Taylor and Harry and it’s inconsistencies

first of all: I’m not going to talk about theories, just straight up facts and numbers. You just have to to the maths to um understand how fucked up that narrative was at the time and it still perpetuates wrong images about the people involved.

so let’s pay attention to the dates. The Red album (a monumental piece of work, let me address) was release before Taylor and Harry started dating, precisely on October 22nd

their first public appearance was at the start of December of the same year.

I Knew You Were Trouble was featured on “Red”, and its music video was put out December 14th (which means she recorded it previously, right?)

Harry shows up with a ship tattoo on December 18th, besides some articles about it being put out 2 days later (and why were people making articles about his tattoo, you might ask?)

Most of the articles written about it already addressed Harry’s tattoo being similar to the one that the guy from the I Knew Your Were Trouble music video

and just going back a little bit to make sure you all can see the inconsistency: the music video (about a cheating dough bag that picks fights and it’s aggressive) dropped 1 day after Taylor and Harry “happily”holding hands on her birthday

they also appeared together out in public in the middle of hundreds of people on New Year’s eve

they “broke up” in the begging of January, and the tabloids already jumped right into the “Harry styles womanizer” shit

and then we’re gonna jump to 7 months after the last time they we’re together - the chaotic VMA’s. If you remember VMA’s 2013 you can agree it looked kinda staged to create polemics, beef and celebrity scandals. And it wasn’t different for Harry and Taylor

When Taylor won an award for the IKYWT music video, this was her speech.

And this was Harry’s response to the interviewer who’s asked him about it - assuming it was directed towards him

and the articles about it both the song and the speech

And a picture of them at the night of the VMA’s seeming REALLY upset with each other right? She REALLY hates him because he is a womanizer, a cheating douchbag. And he is angry of course, she told him to shut up and dissed him on stage!!!! Worst enemies

And now a coincidence the VMA’s happened really close to the This Is Us movie release.... NOT SKETCHY AT ALL!

Now we’re left with some questions
-Why would she write a song about him cheating before she met him?
-Why would she release a music video shading him the day after she spent her birthday with him?
-Why the “coincidence” of the ship tattoo?
-Why did the media change narratives?

After that speech and all the articles and interviews we’re left with two narratives:
-Taylor Swift is a shady bitch that can’t keep a man and always degrade them through her songs
-Harry Styles is a womanizer dick that cheats on innocent girls

Both of them were harmful. But, on the other hand, both of their names were showing up on the media.
This fucked up timeline was the result nothing but bad managements (that both Taylor and Harry had) and the hunger of the media for some celebrity beef.
