The city hall bureau is standing by for this afternoon's provincial press conference to confirm what's in store for Toronto closures. It's starting now. See @robferguson1's scoop here: https://www.thestar.com/politics/provincial/2020/11/19/ontario-hospitals-now-have-146-covid-19-patients-in-intensive-care.html
Ford says Toronto and Peel will move into lockdown as of Monday. We're awaiting details of what that means.
As of 12:01AM Monday in Toronto:
No indoor gatherings with anyone outside household
Outdoor gatherings limited to 10 people
Curbside pickup only for non-essential retail
No indoor dining
Religious services and weddings restricted to 10 people
Gyms must close

There are further closures. I will get further details and have a story for you regarding Toronto rules ASAP.
More on closures:
Personal care services (hair and nail salons etc.) closed
Casinos, bingo halls and other gaming establishments closed
Indoor sports and recreational facilities, including pools, closed (with limited exceptions)

We're now waiting on response from Toronto's medical officer of health Dr. Eileen de Villa and Mayor John Tory who urged the province to impose further restrictions
NEW Here's my story on what's going to open and closed in Toronto when lockdown resumes on Monday: https://www.thestar.com/news/city_hall/2020/11/20/toronto-is-under-a-28-day-covid-19-lockdown-starting-monday-heres-what-that-means.html
Tory says the case for action to stop the spread of COVID-19 now "is clear" and that's why further action is being taken.
Tory: "These restrictions are being put in place to save lives, to keep people healthy and to protect the healthcare system. I know that many of theses measures will be challenging for many of our residents in the city of Toronto and elsewhere."

Take heed Toronto. De Villa, just now on stopping spread: "For now, that means keeping apart from those we want to be closest too. No excuses. No exceptions. No 'just this one time' because letting our guards down has undeniable played a part in bringing us to this moment."
For those asking, have been trying to respond but FYI Toronto will be in this lockdown phase for a minimum of 28 days bringing us to just before the holiday season when province will reassess.
. @dmrider asks de Villa what is different from the requests she made to province and what announced today. Says their requests were focused on gatherings but won't specify her advice
Dave asks about evidence of infections stemming from patio dining, hair salons. De Villa says there is evidence that limiting gathering beyond those people live with the better able to they are to contain spread and risk of spread outdoors isn't "zero"
