You guys remember Extinction Rebellion? well i was on the inside when the org was coopted and destroyed, so hereâs how it happened so you guys know how feds take over and ruin orgs. a thread 1/x
one day we randomly heard that our email list had been stolen by someone in leadership in conjunction with unknown members from across the US. we tried to nail it down immediately by establishing which factions were loyal to the original 4 demands 2/x
suddenly out of nowhere an org that looked exactly like ours appeared. ours was Extinction Rebellion US, theirs: Extinction Rebellion America. within days they paid google to put their listing above ours on google search. their home page and logo was basically same as ours. 3/x
their org caught fire immediately whereas we had put in two years of work trying to build loyal membership. their defining factor? they werenât committed to anti imperialism and anti colonialism and marketed themselves as more palatable to liberals and socdems 4/x
this sowed distrust in XR, and the fact that XR america wasnât committed to those things blew up. of course everyone assumed XR US and XR America was the same org. everyone inside the original org started getting labeled as sympathetic to white supremacy. 5/x
XR America started to bleed socdem members from XR US and pull self proclaimed socialist members to the right, bc they werenât held accountable there. in XR US there were consequences for lack of commitment to the demands, in XR America it was basically a larp org. 6/x
the folks running XR became exhausted trying to combat another mirror org with far more resources than we have. we were a team of volunteer anti capitalists who all work full time , usually in draining jobs that required helping people. therapists, doctors, sociologists 7/x
so because we could not match XR Americaâs resources, XR US collapsed. what is left? the white supremacist org that to my knowledge hasnât done anything at all except destroy the original org. 8/x
i have heard of this exact tactic used on fb to bring down occupy. now i see it used on twitter with our Twitter Communist Party. Watch out for this shit. this isnât a coincidence. this is a tried and true strategy the gov uses often. 9/x
its simple: create a mirror org, same name/appearance, make it seem like real people run it. it works better for them if itâs not trusted. bleed members and trust away from the original radical org. then do nothing but meetings and theatrics until both fizzle out. 10/10.
and now i find out that it is known one of the people in a leading position of xruk/xra was working directly with a known ex cia dude. so had cia connects. there we are yâall
