Leicester City were the only Premier League team to vote against PPV matches. They're a club who genuinely seem to have fans at the forefront of their thinking.

We teamed up with @planetfutebol to look at how @LCFC just keep getting it right.

THREAD 👇
Firstly, it hasn't always been plain sailing...

Relegation to the 3rd tier in 2008, going straight back up the season after, Kermorgant’s failed Panenka getting them knocked out the play-offs in 2010, the madness of Knockaert and Deeneeeey in 2012.

They've been through a lot!
We couldn't not include this either, sorry.
In more recent times though, things on the whole have been pretty sweet.

Promotion in 2014, the great escape, the Premier League’s most incredible title win and the European adventures that followed.
We could watch this over, and over, and over again.
One day fans will be able to gather like this once more 🙏.
A great deal of credit has to be attributed to one man in particular, as it's impossible to look at the bond Leicester has with their fans without focusing how central he was to establishing the Foxes in their current form.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha 💙🤍
The role he played and the values he helped instil have had an impact far greater than just on-pitch success too.

@db_writing highlighted "the effort he made to donate large amounts of money to the university and the hospital in Leicester.”
“At Christmas, they buy every single fan in the ground a mince pie, they get every single fan a pint before the game, they get every single fan a doughnut, they get us a Christmas hat,” said journalist @CharlieJC93 , also a Leicester fan.

It's a lovely touch.
The difference between the Foxes’ attitude and those of other PL clubs was there for all to see when Leicester took a solitary stand against the introduction of PPV fixtures, which has now been scrapped following angry fan backlash.

Leicester had been originally outvoted 19-1.
Signs also suggest Aiyawatt is doing all he can to continue his dad’s legacy, which is further accentuated by the £100million training centre Brendan Rodgers’ side will soon be moving into.
Despite a dip towards the end of last season, the Foxes secured Europa League football and now sit top of the PL table during the international break. Not only is Leicester’s squad full of high-quality players, plenty are extremely likeable and relatable for supporters.
This often comes easily with academy products, with the likes of Harvey Barnes, Hamza Choudhury and Luke Thomas all thriving, but there are many other popular players, with Jamie Vardy perhaps the best example of them all.

“Vardy is the embodiment of a fan on the pitch".
“He plays with a certain amount more quality, but the same kind of enthusiasm that you would want to put in if you suddenly got the chance to run out there yourself.”

He's not wrong...
In addition, they're further building on the consultancy that is already done to reach the point where supporters can have an active say in measures taken.

“Not many Leicester fans would be asking for huge amounts more from the owners. We’re happy with our lot and grateful.”
As being a football fan in 2020 goes, that’s a pretty good place to be.

Well in Leicester City Football Club. 🦊
We meant to include this instead of the Deeney video twice, sorry Leicester fans. Still, not a bad way to end the thread by adding it here...
