Dropping a thread of 40-man additions.

Cardinals added Ivan Herrera a few days ago. No surprise. Hit over power backstop with a still maturing body.

Also added Angel Rondon. I was a bit surprised they did, in a good way. Nice season in 2019, one of the better pitching prospects in a system that lacks them

Braves added Kyle Muller. Also not a surprise. Big lefty has added some velo and looks to be on track to be a future backend SP, could be better if command improves

Tigers add Matt Manning. Obvious move. Changeup development is key for long term rotation future.

Joey Wentz added. Pitched very well after coming over from ATL, unfortunately needed TJ. Future rotation piece.

Alex Faedo, our number 13 Tigers prospect added to 40-man. Been a wild prospect ride for Faedo, but if he wants to stick in rotation he needs the stuff to improve. Average slider with three fringe offerings, and spotty health record

Last Tigers addition, the man with the big hook at LSU, Alex Lange.

Stuff has backed up some but reports of new velocity from alternate site give the profile a boost. Former first rounder (CHC) slotted in at number 36 on our most recent Tigers list for @ProspectsLive

Angels have added Brandon Marsh to the 40-man. Obvious move. He’s battled injuries but has enough power and speed to monitor. Might be the best defensive center fielder on roster too

Angels also added Chris Rodriguez. Back injuries have slowed his progression but the stuff is loud and he was working as a starter at the alternate site, getting positive reviews.
